Do you buy lottery tickets? I usually don't. Haven't bought one in ages. I think you have more chances of building some wealth by saving some of your money, investing it for retirement, giving some away to people that are more needy, and stay as far away from lottery tickets as possible.

Having said all of that, I did get a lottery ticket as a gift in my mailbox at school. Did I win anything? It's a 10K ticket ... what in the world would I do if I won $10K on a scratch-off lottery ticket?

And then there's guitar picks ... I never imagined they'd come in handy for scratching off lottery tickets :-) This is my favorite pick, too, so check the link below if you're interested.

In all seriousness though, I do believe that the best way to build wealth is to work hard, live below your means, save some money, invest it, give some away to others who need it more, and that should eventually create some wealth for you and your family.
