The chancellor has said the budget is "non-negotiable" as she defended her visit to China.
Opposition parties accused Rachel Reeves of 'fleeing' to China after a week in which government borrowing costs soared.
She said the visit would help cement a long-term relationship with Beijing that was "squarely in our national interest" and said agreements reached in Beijing would be worth £600m to the UK.
