The song consists primarily of the tune of two traditional Belarusian folk melodies (with new lyrics written by myself in Old East Slavic and wonderful musical embellishments by Farya): 1) Jure, ustavai rana, and 2) Što j pa moru. July marvelously accompanies the music with her traditional White Voice singing style which is so evocative of Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
I strove to ensure that the Old East Slavic pronunciation was as authentic as possible for the 11th century. The "jers" (the small sounds represented by ъ and ь) are variably sounded shorter or longer depending on the cadence/syllable count of the line (consistently with the style of Slavic poets of old), but never stressed. Sadly, the Slavic nasal vowels had fallen out of use in OES, so ѫ and ѧ, though used etymologically consistently, are sounded as modern у and я respectively. е is also not sounded with the palatal glide, as it is thought that this development occurred at a later stage.
Anyhow, please make sure to subscribe to both @julyvitraniuk and @faryafaraji , and check out the whole symphony!

Lyrics:
(xorobrii imutŭ vŭ rukaxŭ meča blĭščašča sja aky voda)
(xorobrii borjutĭ sja sŭ sĭrdĭci strašĭnŭ medvědĭ)
(xorobrii gybnutŭ borjušče sja, da ixŭ rodŭ živetŭ mirĭno)
(rěka tečetŭ, rěka tečetŭ
rěka tečetŭ podŭ dubovami lodĭmi)
(kto ne počjuditĭ sja, kto ne počjuditĭ sja
kto ne počjuditĭ sja silě potoka?)
Í lǫndum, er sólargeislar brenna,
vil ek mér seim ok sóma kenna.
Eigi má ríkjum skǫpum renna,
því fylgi ek þeim í bardaga þenna.
(xorobrii imutŭ vŭ rukaxŭ meča blĭščašča sja aky voda)
