But seriously, you can still totally overcome OCD and anxiety.. but it helps to be aware of these lurking tricks. 👀

❤️ Emotional reasoning: this is a cognitive distortion where we tend to believe our feelings are an indicator (or even the sole indicator) of truth. This may come up sounding like, “I feel anxious, therefore that must mean something bad is going to happen”.

🔨The whack-a-mole trick refers to when OCD/anxiety bounces to another theme. This can happen in a matter of years or months or weeks or even days (even hours!).

The key is to be aware of these tricks so you can plan your counter strategy.

Like getting ready to box in a boxing match. You don’t go into a match blind. 🥊🥊

You have a plan.

You get to know who you’re fighting against.
