Azealia talks about Jeff Kwatinetz and the mess of a lawsuit they're currently in.context (all alleged, don't sue me):
Jeff Kwatinetz was her former manager, and owner of Prospect Park, the record label that released her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste in 2014. Azealia claims she only got paid $15k of the $1.5million plus she was owed since then. She also claims he emotionally manipulated her for years, as seen in the messages she posted on her Instagram today. Azealia split from the label in 2015, and has been in a lawsuit with Jeff since 2020. He filed some frivolous lawsuit with no basis and she countersued with receipts and demanded her money. the courts move incredibly slow so it's been 3 years now, and it's still not going to trial until mid 2024 now. It's a whole mess but there's articles about it if you want all the details. TLDR: Jeff is a piece of shit (imo), and even if he didn't manipulate her, he owes a lot of money to AB (allegedly). Jeff also allegedly paid off Azealias lawyer who was found to be posting critical tweets from an account associated with him.
