Band of ex-Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan who releases the debut Mary Star Of The Sea in early 2003. After the Smashing Pumpkins disbanded in 2000, Billy Corgan tours with New Order. At the end of 2001 he starts Zwan, his new project, together with Jimmy Chamberlin (drums, also ex-Smashing Pumpkins), Matt Sweeney (guitar) and David Pajo (guitar and bass). Later, Paz Lenchantin (bass, also from A Perfect Circle) is added to the line-up. In the Chicago area, the new band plays a number of gigs before they release Mary Star Of The Sea, their debut album, in early 2002.
