This is track 3 off the second release of a multi-volume exploration of a genre I call minimal echo. Though the literal phrase itself suggests the absence of echo, the opposite is actually true. The obvious twist on the common phrase "minimal techno" accents the saturated use of reverberated echoes and delays. Stripping down to the extreme basics of melody, repetition and sonic ambience, "Sleeping Ions" is a collection of works using effect pedals and analog mono synths.
