The Abia State Government has announced plans to establish a train station in Umuahia, housed within the same facility as the city’s bus terminal. The integrated transport hub is part of efforts to modernise public transit and improve intra-state connectivity.
The proposal was presented during a familiarisation tour by the Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation, who visited Abia to assess ongoing and future infrastructure projects since assuming office.
