Valkenstijn: All instruments and vocals
Leshiyas: Session Drums
Calligraphy by Marek Soszyński
"The Waterhorse” is a complete demo/rehearsal recording, captured during various sessions in the year XIII at the House of Inkantation. The tracks were conceived after the oracle of the Alchemysts disappeared and Martin van Valkenstijn moved on to his new homestead, the Villa Gotaha. These incantations deal with the element water; with maritime themes, mythological water sprites - like the Bäckahäst, Kelpie or Ceffyl Dŵr - as well as the mystic aura of lakes and the deep dark waters. The songs are really rough, like the sea itself, and recordings were handled in a similar way like later on "Old Man's Wyntar". Every track should be seen as a snapshot: unshaped and unpolished but with a very deep atmosphere.
First published as B-Side on the audio cassette edition of "Harvest: Songs of autumnal landscapes & melancholy" in 2015/2016.
