Honoring our Nation's Heroes on Memorial Day. A day of remembrance of those that risked their bodies, their minds and their very lives, to protect this Nation and it's people.

We celebrate the memory of those that are no longer with us. Our thoughts and prayers for all those that made these sacrifices and spilled their blood on the battlefield or in the line of duty, defending our Country, and protecting the rights of it's citizens. And we give thanks to those currently serving and the Veteran's that have returned. May they receive the care they need to heal their bodies, and their minds.

Thank you for your service.

Original Lyrics by J.Lynn

I remember the day, sun high in the sky,
Back then I was whole, thought I could fly.
Dreams in my pocket, boots on the ground,
Fighting for freedom, but lost what I found.
Marching through shadows where courage resides,
Now I'm haunted by echoes of friends who have died.
They gave me a medal and told me I'm brave,
But they don’t see the ghosts that seem depraved.

I came back from war with pieces to mend,
A heart full of pain but no way to pretend.
Legs on the sidelines while my mind’s still in fight,
A soldier's return turned darkness to light.
How do you live when you’ve seen so much death?
When every new breath feels like a theft?
I’m not just a hero; I’m trapped in this cage—
A burden to carry with words left unpaged.

Sitting at home with these memories tight,
Every tick of the clock feels like another fight.
Told I’m a warrior, yet feeling so weak,
In silence I scream while they label me meek.
The orders came down from men far away,
Behind polished desks where they play God each day.
Never pulled a trigger but pulling my strings,
Who’ll pay for this cost? Who hears what it brings?

I came back from war with pieces to mend,
A heart full of pain but no way to pretend.
Legs on the sidelines while my mind’s still in fight,
A soldier's return turned darkness to light.
How do you live when you’ve seen so much death?
When every new breath feels like a theft?
I’m not just a hero; I’m trapped in this cage—
A burden to carry with words left unpaged.

And now I'm learning how to be free again,
Brick by brick as I rise from within.
Finding strength in stories shared under stars —
Healing our wounds ‘cause we’re all battle scars.
So if you see me don’t just look at these chains;
See deeper than flesh where hope still remains.

I came back from war with pieces to mend,
But one step at a time is how we ascend.
Together we're stronger than alone we can stand,
From ashes we rise and reclaim our own land.
No more just survivors; let’s heal and ignite,
We’re warriors reborn stepping into the light.

So here’s to the fallen that never made it home,
To brothers beside us who faced it alone.
We carry their names like ink on our skin—
Forever their voices whispering “Let’s begin.”
