Following trauma, a woman reclaims authority of her body, power over her story, and begins to heal. Drawing from classical mythology, this retelling of Daphne and Apollo challenges the way female characters are often treated within our storytelling traditions, the way women are often treated by men in positions of power, and offers Daphne the voice which has been denied her.

Rory Grace Boar is a storyteller and artist. They use magic realism, mythology, and a poetic use of language to explore issues in today’s world.
