There's a legend about a woman who lives deep in the woods. Grey Raven they call her. Pitch black eyes, neck is covered by inked runes, they say she walks between the dream and wake, serving the Lady beyond. You'll hear she's done plenty good for those dare ask. Kindly woman, folk say. But be warned of hearsay and gossip. There's a reason you never hear she done a thing bad. Men go missing - nobody talks. Back from a little break with more weird spooky folky shenanigans. This one's mainly in 5 and 7, with a few fun polyrhythmic bits over 4, a bunch of guitars, a bunch of me growling, snarling and croaking, very basic and minimal percussion and some orchestral layers for extra spunk. All unquantized and wonky, just the way I like it. And I couldn't resist going with my favorite Balkan choir clusters at the last section because they just too good. The bit I bark in Finnish is a line from Moonsorrow's Haaska, from the Verisakeet album, which I found quite appropriate for the context. "Death pales everyones faces. Leaving corpses for the ravens claws".
Yep, quite appropriate.
