How can two undergraduates impact the health of people with mental illness? Inspired by her own experience with bipolar disorder, Alison Bowden from Oregon State University created an app to help manage the daily challenges of living with mental illness. She co-founded Wellio with Houston Morgan from Arizona State University.

In "Engineering Out Loud" season six we’re excited to feature student research and projects from undergrads up through the ranks of the doctoral level. What these students are doing in school is already impacting our day-to-day lives through things like software solutions for helping those living with mental illness take control of their health to impacting the generation and storage of renewable energy.
