He was only 14 years old and doesn't go to school. His father has died and his mother remarried. He lives with his grandmother.
That day, the stranger brought him to a restaurant to have a hamburger. An ordinary meal for everyone else but to him, it was the first time he had a hamburger. The man seeing his dirty hands and shoes even brought him to get new shoes.
But the boy was smart, he insisted he kept the old shoes. He wanted to wear the old shoes and save the new shoes for when his old shoes has completely worn out.
The man also took him to get candies. At first he only picked out one but the man let him pick out much more. He also took him to get meats and other groceries to take home.
Worried that his grandmother would think he stole everything, he even took the kid home to explain to the grandmother. A truly kind man. Let's hope he continue to visit the boy so he has a guardian angel because he really has no one else.
