Pouring a concrete lintel, Episode 54

This week I start re-building:
The lintel above the doorway from kitchen to bathroom sat very low and after removing it in the last episode I have now positioned it a bit higher. The wall above the lintel to floor level of the first floor needed to be build up so I've made it in poured reinforced concrete.

As the sides of the door opening are in stone with lime mortar I will encapsulate them with poured reinforced concrete for which I am building a form. The concrete lintel above the ground floor door opening will tie in to the wall sides which in turn will tie in to the wooden lintel above the door opening on the first floor.
