A partnership project between Artcore and the Youth Crime Prevention Team, Derby City Council.A 6 week programme where young children were encouraged to be creative and move away from the risk of committing crime. During the sessions each participant created individual artworks in different mediums which will be exhibited at the celebration event at the end of the project.
Participants were given the opportunity to add creatively to an ‘expression board’ after each session. This had reflective properties, and acted as a platform to express their thoughts and feelings, and evaluate personal development in the sessions, by mapping their journey, thus supporting the individual in building confidence, believe in themselves and in their dreams.
