Rebel XD, A combination of a word and 2 letters that is used today more then I would have ever imagined when I came up with it in 1989 as my rap identification over 2 decades ago. Canon camera used it and ironically one of the camera's themes is speed. That wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that I was in the Guinness book of records and well before the camera was even thought about now would it? Coincident? Yeah right. My name first appeared in Guinness book's in 1993 and that was even way before Canon's camera and well before the internet so the authenticity of my name is a no brainer . Everyone even uses it on the world wide web as commonly as they may use wtf, lol, smh, ect. ect. You've seen it I'm sure, someone saying "you're such a Rebel XD". I guess the X and D is suppose to mimic a laughing face, but in my name the XD is for eXtremely Dope. When I first saw it on the internet I was like "wtf?" lol. Many ppl get the wrong idea about me when they only see my Guinness record breaking raps, saying anything from, "I can't understand him, he's fast but has no rhythm" and all sorts of things without even hearing or knowing what I am about outside of that. I would also like to note that my Guinness raps were designed for speed so I sorry if you don't get a bop your head moment from them. *cough* sarcasm *cough*. The fact of the matter is that being the worlds fastest rapper on 3 counts is ok but really isn't a big deal to me and I sure as hell wouldn't use it to represent me as an artist. That is why I find it funny that now, after all these years everyone wants to rap fast. I was pretty much done with that back in the early 90's and the Guinness is the only reason I continued on with it after that and I only really did it when it came to Guinness. So all you super speed freaks out there who are head under water deep into it and want that from me, sorry but it ain't gonna happen, well not often anyway. My rap style(s) are wicked and speed isn't even a focus in my recorded songs. Hack man, and maybe Money Talkz are probably the only true speed raps I recorded and they were recorded in 1991 and 1998 (which are both on my website). I am more than an artist, I am an innovator. Even something as simple as my Rebel XD bumper will someday catch on and be imitated by more rappers or artist than I could care to imagine. I can't think of one single artist to date with an bumper identification. Even if they were to do it, how cool would it sound? My name is just too suitable for it lol.
