Ave verum corpus is a motet written by Mozart for Anton Stoll, the musical coordinator in the parish of Baden bei Wien, near Vienna.
Franz Liszt quotes Mozart's motet in the second part of his piano piece Evocation à la Chapelle Sixtine, 2 - Andante con pietà.
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky incorporates an orchestration of Liszt's transcription of Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus in his fourth orchestral suite, Mozartiana, part III Preghiera.
