In the 1950's and 60's there were dozens of Westerns, Detective and Military type shows on television to excite us Boomer kids, along with companies selling related toy guns so we could role play along with our TV heroes. There was no way today that Post Cereal would be able to sell a Strategic Air Command Fairchild AR-5 Survival Rifle, as a premium.
