Synopsis:
The Tang family resides in the New Territories region of Hong Kong. Despite his wife holding a job, Tang Yongqiang is unemployed, leaving the household with no income and relying solely on welfare to get by. The escalating family pressures and financial hardships have strained the relationship between the couple. To make matters worse, Tang's wife has started an extramarital affair, intensifying the conflicts between them.
In a fit of anger, Tang Yongqiang turned violent towards his wife, leading her to eventually leave him and elope with her lover. Two female social workers handling the family's issues unexpectedly discovered that Tang Yongqiang was holding his children hostage, demanding to see his wife. This situation escalated into a severe family crisis.
Most shockingly, Tang Yongqiang eventually detonated a gas explosion, causing a devastating blast. During the police investigation at the scene, they uncovered the bodies of the victims of two recent missing girls' cases. This discovery sent shockwaves of fear through everyone involved.
