Connie Zheng is a multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and writer whose work transcends traditional boundaries. Their double-sided installation in “Bay Area Now 9” explores both the past and present by examining the histories of Asian farmworkers in California, the three major rivers in Northern California, and the changes in Zheng’s own garden. Watch to see how you can gain a deeper appreciation of this place by traversing the boundaries between the known and the unknown, the personal and the communal, and the external and internal worlds presented in Zheng’s work.
