Hi Everyone!

I pricked these out of their seed tray at the beginning of April after sowing on the 22 of March 👍 They are quickly putting on growth now 🤩

Well, some of them are 😂 The dwarf varieties are obviously still tiny while there are some brutes in there too. And the 3 Sungold seedlings look identical, as per usual (so reliable because it’s an F1 variety) and is why it’s already #allotment4life approved ✅

You might have noticed that some of your tomato seedlings have different shaped leaves, or potato shaped leaves (as in the leaf on a potato plant, not an actual spud 😂). This is normal and comes from the fact that potatoes and tomatoes are cousins in the same deadly nightshade family.

Curiously, there are some recipes out there on the internet on how to cook and eat tomato leaves... now, while they might not contain as much of the toxin tomatine as potato leaves do solanine, they can still make you ill if you are sensitive to it or eat enough of it. And especially dogs can get very ill...

So let’s leaf (😅) that one somewhere at the back of the internet, shall we?

These beauties are all for growing protected in my greenhouses or in my back garden 👌 The ones for growing out in the wild allotment beds I’ve just sown this past Sunday 🍅
