"I begin the set by playing Larry Graham’s “Hair” as a protest against major music labels banning music on YouTube. This is also my tribute to Larry Graham, the inventor of slap bass. Unfortunately, due to these restrictions, I was unable to include tracks by Larry Graham, Marcus Miller, and several other key pioneers of the slap bass technique in the mix.

To make a statement, I performed this iconic bassline live before starting the set as a sign of protest. The mix itself is a journey through different styles, with slap bass as the centerpiece and driving force."
