Today's wake 'n break is a hand to hand hi-hat groove in 6/4, with "hand to hand" referring to using both the right and left hands on the hi-hats (in this case, a series of singles with an occasional double with the right hand). Taking the bass drum first, we have notes on 1 and on 6. Looking at the hi-hats next, we have notes falling on "1&", 2, on "3&", 4, and on "5&6&".
