The world famous punk band, Punky Bruster started as an extreme death metal band in their home of Poland.Cryptic Coroner was a very extreme Death Metal band from Poland in the early 90’s but one day while playing a gig in a different country, the guitarist broke a string and broke character on stage. The audience had already been upset and laughing at them, so they panicked and improvised some cheesy punk rock while thinking Green Day.
They sold 100,000 albums in 2 and a half hours, changed their name to Punky Brüster and decided to go against all that they believed in and dived fully into punk rock to gain EZ$$$
The band got nervous with the runs after being nominated for a granny award for life long achievement award for the best punk-rock band, which they won.
This is the plot for a concept album called “Cooked on Phonics” by the fictional band, Punky Bruster. With Adrian White and John Harder, Devin Townsend created the record in less than two weeks and released it on March 19th, 1996
