There has been a ferrel population of Red Deer on The Yorkshire Coast between Ravenscar and Robin Hoods Bay for several years now.
They seem to be growing in numbers and roaming further onto The North York Moors these days.
This is the furthest Ive seen them inland. Near the Flask last weekend.
There are several young stags in this heard, and I know there are some much bigger stags roaming about nr Stoupe Beck.
These are Red Deer, much bigger than the Roe Deer you usually see. Also you will only find Roe Deer in small groups, whereas these Reds will gather in much larger numbers.
