I started with the Akai MPC Live II, but the big, colorful screen felt too much like a computer—so I sent it back. Instead, I went with this Elektron combo: Digitone II, Digitakt II, and Octatrack II.

It’s a whole new workflow, and the learning curve will be steep, but the goal is clear: Make my own tracks to mix alongside the bangers in my DJ sets. 🔥
