For the past 3 years, Soraya has been running her mobile tattoo studio in Kabul. She doesn’t keep her shop’s address fixed due to security reasons, because her job can be a dangerous one in Afghanistan. Though tattoos are not foreign to Afghan culture, ink-on-skin artists like Soraya can easily land in trouble with the dormant Taliban, with their fundamentalist interpretation of the Sharia law.
