TOP BUZZ Legacy – DJ Faydz & MC Mad P | Live @ Shelleys Reunion 2023Here’s a few moments from a truly special night at the Shelleys Reunion, held at Keele University, Stoke-On-Trent, on Saturday 11th November 2023.
This set is dedicated to the memory of Jason Kaye, who we sadly lost in March 2023. Originally, Top Buzz were due to perform at this event. After Jason’s passing, Mad P kindly asked me (Faydz) to step in alongside him to represent the Top Buzz Legacy, something I’m incredibly honoured to be part of.
Playing these tribute sets with Patrick has been a real privilege – not just for the music, but for keeping the spirit and energy of Jason and Top Buzz alive.

Top Buzz had a massive influence on me from the moment I picked up one of their tapes in Homeboyz Recordz (Swindon) early in 1991. The music, the atmosphere, and Mad P’s voice left a lasting impression.
Being invited to help carry on Jason’s legacy, alongside DJs like Fabio, Ratty and Tim Ryan, is an absolute honour. Jason was not just a brilliant DJ and producer, but a genuinely kind and inspiring person. He’s missed deeply.
