Today we take a quick road trip and compare submariners from Rolex and Tudor, in a very personal review as I try to decide on which will be my next big purchase for 2021.
Join me as I explore the historic USS New Jersey, enjoy Italian food in Philadelphia, and take a deep dive into the history, evolution, positives and negatives of two outstanding Submariners from each brand. How does my current Tudor 79090 compare to the two-tone Rolex 16613, aka the "Bluesy"? Or the equivalent ref. 1680 from Rolex? And of course, the modern ceramic ref. 116610LN which I formerly owned?
Is it time to upgrade? Or are Submariners no longer as cool as they once were? Why do I prefer vintage over new Subs? And is it perhaps time to trade it all in for the Yachtmaster 126622, which I reviewed last year?
Join me for a Submariner special, and where better than in the Submariner’s natural environment—which also happens to be one of the most legendary battleships of all time!
