A tropical wave is located off the west coast of Africa and is producing disorganized showers and storms. Some gradual development of the wave is expected as it moves westward through the central Atlantic Ocean. There is a 40% chance for development in the next 7 days. A tropical depression may form by the middle of next week but this will be a long-term area to watch.
