The U.S. Department of Defense has unveiled striking new footage demonstrating the immense power of its 30,000-pound bunker-buster bomb, known as the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP).

The video shows the bomb being released from a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, plunging toward a target simulating a deeply buried bunker. Upon impact, a massive explosion engulfs the area, highlighting the weapon's ability to penetrate reinforced underground facilities before detonating.

Developed for the U.S. Air Force, the MOP is designed to destroy hardened nuclear and military installations, including subterranean facilities shielded by concrete and rock. It was most recently used in strikes against Iranian nuclear sites during the brief Israel-Iran war, targeting key locations such as Fordow, Natanz, and Arak.

The bomb is GPS-guided and can burrow through more than 60 meters (200 feet) of reinforced concrete before exploding.

The Pentagon released the footage to provide greater transparency into the types of precision munitions used in recent operations and to demonstrate U.S. strategic capabilities amid global tensions.
