Clouds roll in, truth pushed aside
Winds of change got poison breath
We danced too long on borrowed steps

Gold got cheap, hearts got sold
Dreams rerun, the reels feel old
Voices high, but no one hears
Drowned in comfort, numbed by fears

Call it progress, call it fate
But we built this house too late
Now the cracks run down the spine
