#jamuary day 19 - spoken word. Another great prompt from @sonauramusic . I wasn’t sure about this one, but in the end I quite enjoyed the process , it’s something I think I’ll come back to in future as a technique. For me, that’s the point of jamuary to experiment and try out different things. I

grabbed a random speech loop from a spoken word poem (can’t find it again so don’t recall what it was even, I just liked the tone and speech pattern) into the P6 sampler (usb c sampling for the win) then recorded it into the Octatrack where it re-pitched it, time stretched it, added some effects etc.

I then added a few loops from the SubH and a tape loop melody on top.
