In episode 118, we make a progressive techno song using only Logic Pro X plugins and sound processors, starting the song from absolute scratch.

We begin by programming a kick drum using Logic Pro X's Drum Machine Designer and start working on the bass right away. Using Logic Pro X's Alchemy, we find a patch that fits our techno ambitions. We then record MIDI onto the sequencer and edit it to create our rolling bassline, followed by some sound design to make this one a thumper.

Next, we add some pad stabs and other melodic elements to enrich our song. We then record a smooth pad to create a haunting side to the track. Moving forward, we add melodic plucks to accentuate the song's groove.

We then program more percussion to build up the groove and add to the feeling of the track. We also introduce a layer of sub-bass to fill in the lower frequencies, making it perfect for the dancefloor.

Finally, we compose a lead and start preparing our Logic Pro X Template.
