US President Donald Trump unleashes on Democrat New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, labelling him a “total nut job”.

“I think he is terrible, a communist, the last thing we need is a communist,” Mr Trump said.

“Frankly, I’ve heard he is a total nut job.”
