Happy 67th birthday to former WCW World Heavyweight Champion! Former United States Heavyweight Champion! NWA World Tag Team Champion! The Total Package, Flexy Lexy, The Master Of The Torture Rack! From Chicago, Illinois, weighing 271 pounds! Lex Luger!
Finally, this legendary piece of music is brought to you, since we were close to Luger's birthday and his buddy Sting's iconic theme also made it here already! Luger debuted this song on the November 5th, 1988 episode of World Championship Wrestling against Agent Steele, on his way to his match with Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade 1988, as well as facing the newly crowned (at the time) NWA Tag Team Champions, The Road Warriors, in numerous house show matches alongside Sting. As you can see, however, even though he started using this song in late 1988, my main focus of this video was on his 1990's tenure using it, where he once again feuded with Flair, then feuded with new faces such as "Mean" Mark Callous, Sid Vicious, Motor City Madman, "Big Cat" Curtis Hughes, Stan Hansen and even a small program with Doom. When 1991 kicked in, Sting was still preparing to be world champion again per Flair's choice, but when the "Nature Boy" shockingly left WCW for the WWF, the vote of confidence was transferred to Luger, who memorably won the championship by defeating Barry Windham in a double character turn at that year's Great American Bash, defending it all the way to next year's Superbrawl.
