The Millau Viaduct spans the Tarn Valley in southern France, linking the Causse du Larzac plateau to the Causse Rouge plateau. It essentially connects two high points over the deep Tarn River gorge, creating a much faster and more direct route for travellers along the A75 motorway between Clermont-Ferrand and Béziers. Saves a lot of hair-raising winding roads – and it looks bloody spectacular while doing it.
