Hi! We are Alex & Elaina, and we started this channel to share all the projects we take on in pursuit of living sustainable, financially independent lives.We are currently on the 3-acre farm that Alex grew up on in southern Pennsylvania. However, we recently purchased 6 acres of beautiful land that we are going to (mostly) self-build a homestead on, and document the journey on this channel. We are in our mid twenties, and met during engineering school at Penn State. We still work 9-5 style jobs, but our goal is to eventually live each day completely on our own terms.
Something that differentiates us from most other homesteading or DIY channels is that we are completely transparent with the monetary side of our projects. You will find in most of our videos, there is a cost breakdown right in the description.
