small color is an ambient pop/folktronica group from Japan influenced by the likes of Masakatsu Takagi. however, this one is relatively experimental compared to the rest of their output, with heavy use of pipe organ, accordion, harmonica and drones, sounding a bit gloomy yet otherworldly. however, the last track is very much in line with what they would release after. Rie Yoshihara & Yusuke Onishi are the two sole members, and they've worked with people like World's End Girlfriend. this cassette is a promotional EP containing tracks exclusive to just this release to celebrate the release of their debut album with the same cover as this one, titled "outflow." the inner j-card and lower outer j-card contain information about track listing and live shows that were happening around the time of the debut album's release.
