I find this a very meditative piece to play. It doesn't use loop pedals so it takes intense concentration.
I wrote this a long time ago and recorded it on my album 'Ecosticks' with a tabla player. Here I am playing it solo and finding new spaces in it.
I like to use these two handed techniques rhythmically and create calm rather than slap people around the face with it.
When I wrote this these styles hadn't become the meme they are today- it was much more of a voyage of discovery than a race to the peak of virtuosity.
