I’ve been picking up the guitar for the first time in years over the last week and exploring what’s possible when plugging it into my modular system. This is a really simple trick I’ve found on the Strymon Magneto - turn the speed all the way up, use a long clock with pitch shift mode, play a few rough notes, hit infinite repeat, then turn the speed all the way down and mess with the tape degradation settings. Gives you a pretty convincing lofi tape loop emulation. On this patch I’ve routed the output through Make Noise QPAS where the stereo image is being modulated, then splitting the output from into Happy Nerding FM Aid and 2hp Grain for additional lofi grunge and glitching. Very fun and easy patch. Next time I’ll put some lazy beats around a loop and see what comes out.
