A great way to both update your home look and also save on your electricity bill is to install new LED lights by purchasing an easy to install LED retrofit kit for recessed lighting fixtures. The fixture in this video is a 6” diameter recessed lighting fixture but you can get similar retrofit kits for 4” and 5” recessed lighting fixtures as well.

Additional Tip: I usually buy extra retrofit kits so if one fails in the future I will be able to swap out a new one without any issues matching the rest of your recessed lighting fixtures. If you don’t have an extra and the model is no longer available you will either have a mix match of looks or have to update the rest of the lights with the new model. Little planning now could save you time and money in the future.

Note: I have found Amazon to have some of the lowest prices around compared to the larger box stores. A little planning can save you some serious money especially if you are replacing a large number of lights.
