There exists a very noteworthy link between impact events, and supervolcanoes that raged en masse in the state of Victoria, to the Devonian Extinction Event. Which was one of the worst global die offs to have ever occurred.

Victoria is located in Australia's South East. And, at this point in time, it was tectonically active in the form of subduction events, and rifting events. But there's a strange phenomenon that occurred, where the westernmost part suddenly reactivated again, and there exists a chance that the reasoning for this, was directly related to the impact events that occurred.

In this video, we take a look at the dates of the Woodleigh impact event, and the two speculated Warburton impact craters, that slammed into the middle of Australia, possibly 360 million years ago. We relate these events to the massive amount of volcanism and the related volatiles that were being pumped into the stratosphere, which worked to both block incoming sunlight, whilst also leading to volcanic winters, creating the small intermittent, and recurrent glaciation events witnessed around this time period. Along with all of this, we also link both of these impact events to the generation of two separate flood basaltic events.
