
'War For Peace' is an unreleased track by Striknene, recorded on 10th December 1983. It is described by their band as their "Magnum Opus". They describe the track as "a sprawling indictment of the invasion of Lebanon by Ariel Sharon in 1982, and the atrocities in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps."
Striknene were formed in Somerset in 1979. They played 30 gigs around Somerset and Bristol. They recorded 8 studios tracks between 1982 and 1983. They released one cassette tape 'A Figure Of Imagination' Recorded at Monitor Studios, Milborne Port, Somerset on the 7th August 1982. They also released a tape of live recordings called 'Attack The Cause' in February 1983 which cost £1.
