"Back From Reality", Viricide Filly's concept album featuring this track, follows part of the story of her OC Eleanor. "Channeling IRL feeling/experiences into a story about a pony", Viricide Filly composed and produced this album that "deals with fear, anxiety and self-doubt, and trying to get over it, it can be a struggle, and it's a long one, but there can always be a happy ending". This particular track is "the essential sort of 'climax', where Eleanor breaks down, starts smashing the mirror and then goes into Labyrinth where she believes the cracks she's made are a labyrinth where her jealousy is held". That kind of connection with one of the other tracks from the album, "Labyrinth", is really well thought and enjoyable. Below is more about the track's story from its description on Bandcamp:

"A breakdown. Eleanor begins systematically smashing every single imagined mirror before ending up on the one real one she'd been staring at, and began hammering at it with her hooves, every single crack reminding her of her troubled pasts. The mirror refuses to shatter, gaining thousands of intricate cracks that she loses herself in."

So all of the smashed mirror's cracks are turning into a labyrinth, and a trap of the mind! I don't know about you, but I love that kind of deep and psychological meanings. And it's heartfelt and personal, too, which makes it even more powerful.

So when I learnt about the deep story of this concept album and of this track, I had to try and make something that would fit, especially the "cracks turning into a labyrinth" part! So the cover art in this video progressively cracks, until it fades into a labyrinth! Yay for meaningful visuals along a meaningful song! ...I tried. Hope I succeeded and it doesn't look bad! I'll always want to pay tribute to the story of a track because I really care about that. Hope you enjoyed it!
