Well, I signed the compromis de vente and am officially moving forward with buying a fairytale French château. The 10-day cooling-off period has passed, and this lifelong dream is becoming real!This moment is the result of years of research, planning, obsession, belief ... and yes, more than a little magic. Including (but not limited to) spellwork, vision boards, visualizations, and a deep knowing that somehow, someday, this would happen.
Back in Atlanta, the pressure is on to finish the final touches on my primary renovation and get the house ready to sell (because let’s face it, I’m gonna need the cash). I fly to Miami for my visa appointment, drive to South Carolina for a driver’s license France will accept, digitize decades of creative work, and start the overwhelming process of packing up my life.
Château de la Chevronnais? A faded 19th-century petit château with serious potential. Not crumbling, not grandiose, just quietly waiting to be brought back to life. By me.
