"Le Coven du Carroir" is a band from Bourges (France).
The band deals with witchcraft, paganism and the legends and superstitions of central France. Their black metal is imbued with esotericism, alternating mystical atmospheres and aggressive riffs.
In the ancient lands of central France, the names "carroirs" were given to crossroads in the countryside. It was here that the devil would set up his traps and meetings with those who wished to trade with their souls. It's also where local witches gathered to celebrate sabbats.

Le Coven du Carroir est un trio originaire de Bourges.
Le groupe aborde les thématiques de la sorcellerie, du paganisme et des légendes et superstitions du Centre de la France. Leur black metal est empreint d’ésotérisme, alternant les ambiances mystiques et les riffs agressifs.
Dans les anciennes contrées de l’Orléanais et du Berry, les noms « carroirs » étaient donnés aux carrefours champêtres. C’est là que le diable tendait ses embûches et donnait ses rendez-vous pour ceux qui souhaitaient trafiquer avec leurs âmes. C’est aussi là, que les sorcières du canton s’assemblaient pour fêter les sabbats.
