I purchased my rearview mirror and base foot plate from AliExpress here (make sure you order the base too!):

Or you can buy it from Amazon:

I just had a parcel delivered, and it’s come all the way from China.
It’s a new edition to my Nissan NV200 van conversion which, up until recently, I had no need for - a rear view mirror.
I recently installed windows to my rear doors and, now I can see out the back, I’d like to install an interior car mirror so I can increase my visibility when driving.
The van mirror also came with a mounting foot and a single screw.
Let’s get it fitted to the van!
So I actually already have a suction cup-mounted mirror fitted - it cost £5 and does the job ok.
But there are a couple of reasons I want to change it.
First, it wobbles quite a bit which is a bit really annoying.
Next, I can’t use my thermal windscreen cover without taking it off.
And finally, I don’t think that the suction cup will last long term.
I’ll start by removing the cap and then I can unscrew the existing base plate and swap it for the new one using the same 3 screws.
Using the new screw, I can attach it to the ceiling! - definitely one of the easiest bits of work I’ve done on the van!
It’s a sturdier fit, my windscreen cover fits again and it matches the interior of the van.
So why did I buy it from China? Because the NV200 rear view mirrors are either very expensive or hard to find in the UK. It cost £35 including shipping and took under 3 weeks to arrive. Link in the description if you’re interested!
