This is the only country in the world where it is illegal to buy chewing gum. It is Singapore, in this tiny nation there has been a ban on selling chewing gums since 1992. The main motivation was most likely frustration with the constant removal of chewing gum in the city. When visiting Singapour it should be legal to bring in a pack for personal use, however, you will not be able to buy another one.
